This year my focus has been building my illustration and surface pattern design portfolio. To help keep myself accountable to this goal, I signed up for Lilla Roger's classes. The Bootcamp class has been a great match for helping me create new work. Our first assignment was to illustrate an adult coloring book cover with a 1920's hair styles theme! Here's my piece, which can also be found in the Make Art That Sells (MATS) class gallery:
It's been a great inspiration seeing how everyone approaches the assignment. This was a challenge for me because I tend to shy away from drawing faces, but it ended up being a lot of fun creating the line work. I've always enjoy creating inky lines, so it was a fun challenge.
